Kelly Bates wrote...  To the Fogaren family, Sharon's friends, fans, and her Fun 107 family:  It is truly shocking to lose someone so vibrant in the prime of her life. Sharon's passing is such a blow to the people of Southern New England - especially to the New Bedford area she proudly called home.  Sharon and I worked the weekends at channel 6 in 2000 until she left to go back to Fun 107 in 2001.  She was always attentive and sweet to everyone and always enthusiastically asked after my son after he was born. She was genuinely a nice person.  I missed her terribly after she left 6.  She was that rare combination of a true professional and yet truly fun to work with.  She was always generous with her time for friends and co-workers.  She had the most gorgeous smile and always laughed with her whole being. That was my favorite thing about her - her laugh was infectious and genuine from her soul.
Please count my fond memories of Sharon among yours.  Please count me among her many fans.  Rest in peace Sharon.
